Monstarr: The Story So Far May 18, 2005 - 10:11 p.m. I've just had my live review of kylie posted on www.thisisfakediy.co.uk, which is sadly ironic in relation to his recent cancer diagnosis. It wasn't my best bit of writing and I feel a bit wierd about it now. It's terrible news when anyone gets diagnosed with cancer but it must be just that little bit harder when you have to do deal with it and the worlds attention at the same time. I've treated countless young women for breast cancer and it's not the nicest part of my job. I personally find treating people around my own age the hardest. It feels that tiny bit more real because you can directly relate to them. Cancer is indiscriminate and cruel. It's talked about as one disease when in reality it's hundreds and hundreds of different diseases which share the common ground of spreading and sometimes killing. I'm extremely fortunate that I haven't had any peronal experience of cancer in my family that I know of. These day's it can be a very treatable condition. Let's hope Kylie comes through it ok. As for my review? I gave her four out of five. It was an excellent concert.
