Monstarr: The Story So Far October 13, 2004 - 8:20 p.m. Happy birthday to Gavin who celebrated his birthday on the 11th, as did Sandeeps sister, Navneet. I was very excited to get a new phone delivered today. Not a mobile phone, it was a classic phone from the 70's, very retro and very green, fab! It was only thirty quid, marvellous. I also went to my first ever local Amnesty International group meeting on Tuesay. I have to admit, I was really nervous. I wasn't sure what to expect, I thought I might not know enough about current affairs and politics but it wasn't like that at all. The meeting was in the home of one of the members. It was a gorgeous house, tall, thin and full of books and character. There was only a few people there but they were all very friendly. We wrote a few letters on soe urgent AI action matters. It was all very informal but quite informative. I'll definitely go back again. I'm happy that I finally made the effort to go along and get involved. One meeting is nothing I know but it's a start. I've also been thinking about possibly applying to become a magistrate when I become a permanent radiographer again. Watch this space.
