Val, like many times before, made me laugh on her blog today. I won't repeat the story coz she tells it better than I could. All I'll say that I was present at the time of the story and that it involves some nasty underwear. Fashion! It has a lot to answer for...

Weekend was fab. Friday was a riot of popstarz, Val, Stephen, Dancing, no ex's (yay!) and quite a bit of drinking. Saturday involved an early start (I hate those, I met Katie, Dams and Phil at Kings cross Thameslink for a day in our old hometown of St Albans. We met up with Rick and his new girlfriend Zahra and also Tim and Su. I felt nostalgic indeed to be back in St Albans. We took a quick tour past our old respective student houses and posed for a photo which I intend to e-mail to Dave.

As I stood outside my old house on Sutton Road my thoughts (as I knew they would) dwelled on Steve. I'm sure he would've jokingly laughed at my nostalgia as I took a photo of the house, and I remembered the photo that Ralph once took, way back in June 1997.

There was Steve, Rick, Dave, Lou, Don and me. All ranged together outside of the house, saying goodbye to our house and our second year of university. Whenever I look at that old photo I always remember the day fondly and also laugh at myself for wearing the same elastica t-shirt through out most of that year!

I didn't tell the others how I felt on Saturday, how my heart filled with emotion just looking at the house. I wasn't ashamed, I just kept the moment private and remembered just how much I love and miss Steve.

I ended a top day by partying at club motherfucker with Richard, Michael, Stephen and his mates. They played some great songs including gravy train!!!!, yay!
