Monstarr: The Story So Far August 01, 2004 - 6:39 p.m. I don't normally like Sundays, indeed, I've always felt that Sunday is the suckiest day of the week. And yes, I know 'suckiest' is terrible english and not even a proper word but it fits my mood. Today, however, has been a marvellous Sunday. Sundrenched and full of friends, fantastic. Today is Soho pride and I was all set on not going. I thought the whole place would be unbearably full and there is nothing worse than having to squeeze by sweaty topless muscle marys in order to get anywhere. Thankfully my fears were unfounded and busy though Soho was, it wasn't at all too bad. I met up with Val, David, Albert, Gavin, Lloyd & Khalid and their dog called Arthur. Arthur was a real sweety of a dog, so strokeable. I was very happy to see Lloyd & Khlaid as I hadn't seen them since before I left the country. If you ever wanted to see a classic example of a cute young gay couple then Lloyd & Khalid are definitely it! Both of them are super nice guys and handsome too. It was nice to hang out in the sun, having a pint and catching up with friends. I wasn't really catching up with Val having seen her all weekend but its always great to hang out with her. She was wearing her killer stripey black & white dress again, such a great outfit. I ducked out at around 5pm, I wasn't in the mood to drink anymore and there was flat stuff I wanted to do. All in all I've had a kick ass weekend. Richard and Val came to mine in Friday night for dinner. We proceeded to get hilariously drunk and I took over fifty photos on my digital camera, oops! Saturday I spent cleaning the flat and recovering from my hangover (thank you berocca and resolve!). In the evening I met Val and Richard at the george and dragon before we caught the bue to a house party off whitechapel high street. The party was kicking when we arrived, there was a live band in the living room and the place was packed! It turned out that the house was way, way too packed and it was impossible to get anywhere. After the band finsihed someone decided to play some really bad garage tunes and the party kinda sucked after that. Most of the people there seemed horribly sober and there wasn't that air of drunkeness and debauchery I normally associate with house parties. Val and I left after about two hours and on my way home I treated myself to a chicken burger. Hmmmm...so tasty. In other news, I have added three new photo albums if you wanna check them out. They are 'my 27th birthday', 'milan' and 'soho pride 2004'.
