Monstarr: The Story So Far January 10, 2004 - 5:36 p.m. You should have seen me last night, drunk, bacardi and coke in one hand and the other gesticulating wildy as I rapped along (very badly I might add) with Betty boo as the DJ played 'doin the do'. I had such a laugh. We went to a gay bar called 'palms'. What a name eh? This was a dingy basement bar with a carpet dancefloor. It kinda reminded me of the ghetto. The DJ played pop trash and I boogied on down. It was slightly unreal aswell because there was a TV screen in the corner showing video hits and I kept seeing lots of cool indie bands. How I miss the gay indie scene in London.... If any of you are curious to see what my second tattoo looks like I have now posted a photo on my photo album, check it out. There are also lots of new photos aswell from christmas and my recent adventures in Sydney. You can all see who I've been hanging out with. I have also photos from my leaving do in Perth. It was a fantastic night, I was so touched that so many of my colleagues (including my boss) came out. At the end of dinner Karen stood up and read out a poem she wrote for the occaison. It was so sweet of her and it was very funny. I'm going to type it out below so people can read it. There are a few in jokes of course but you just have to ignore those. Karen, you are a star. "When we first me Stuart we were sure he was the queerest thing that had come through our door and as weeks went by we came to find a delighful soul both sweet and kind on any given day at tea break you could bet he'd be talking to boys on the internet any given weekend you could surely find you'd find stu at the court doing the bump and grind and because he listenend to 'drop and give me twenty' you'll now find he's bulging with muscles aplenty and one of our stus favourite loves was a naughty perth boy with exfoliating gloves the patients loved him one was heard to say that she would bring in her daughter one day and when not involved with department somantics he was making Debs jaw drop with tales of his antics and after many weeks he still stumped that chek wee cannot master the famous double pump stu, we loved meeting you I can unanimously say It's been a pleasure working with you from day to day go knock em dead in sydney we know you'll find there's more of your kind we'll miss your laughs we'll miss your smile we'll miss you going 'the extra mile' we really wish that you could stay we hope you'll come back another day If we're ever in London we'll be sure to drop in and you can show us your bachelor pad of sin enjoy your travels party as you know best you know that perth loves you now it's time to see the rest!" I hope people don't think it's too egocentric of me to put that poem up. Typing it out again makes me miss Perth. I felt that I really wanted to share the poem with my friends. Only one other person has ever written me a poem, it doesn't happen every often!
