Monstarr: The Story So Far November 19, 2003 - 7:01 p.m. Shame on you people! There can be no argument....you can see the Dandy Warhols any old time....this is Gravy trains!!!! debut visit to the UK. Also you can watch gravy train then go and see the dandy warhols. Band at popstarz are never on till midnight. I hope one of you goes, for me at least! To be near Hunx, oh baby..... I have been laughing a lot at work over the last few days. It seems like an odd coincidence but recently a number of older female patients have said the same kind of thing to me. It always goes something like this: Patient: "So, Stuart. You're a lovely young man. Are you here in Perth for good?" Me: "No, as nice as Perth is I'm here to travel and see some of Australia. Patient: "Oh that's a shame, dear. Still, you might meet a nice young girl and settle down here." Yeah, right! Are these people blind!? It's kind of sweet and funny, especially from the more grandma-esque patients of mine. I've always managed not to laugh and I never correct the patients. After all, they are not asking me if I'm gay. They are all just assuming I'm straight. It does get annoying though, everyone always assuming you're straight. It's almost like homosexuality doesn't even exist to some people. And of course, it doesn't. It ones of those things in life that "happens to other people." The only patients that have ever acknowledged they know I'm gay have been the gay people I've treated. Interesting.
